Imagine a beautiful small village in
Alaska at the edge of Glacier Bay National Park, where whales migrate through
Icy glacial waters each spring. Here, you'll find a peaceful place where time
has stood still and life is as simple as a bike ride to the beach or a boat
trip to watch the glaciers calve...
CHECK
THE CURRENT WEATHER IN GUSTAVUS
Do you need to get away from the city and from all the noise
and hoards of people? Today, in Gustavus, you may do nothing but stroll through
a forest trail and marvel at all of nature's gifts. Or, you might choose to
sit with a good book on the dock overlooking Icy Straits and watch the eagles
and ravens soar above you as the fishing boats go by.
This is our village. Our home... GUSTAVUS, ALASKA... and while you're here,
come and visit us at the Bear’s Nest Cafe and Bed & Breakfast. From
our home to yours, the Bear’s Nest welcomes you!
The
Bear’s Nest Café is open seven days a week from 11:00 am to 8:00 P.M. We will
tailor our meals to accommodate your dietary needs (low carbohydrate, salt free,
vegan, vegetarian, dairy free).
We serve fresh daily picked salads from our organic
gardens. All our seafood’s are purchased from local fishermen and as
retired commercial fishermen, we know quality. Homemade soups and fresh breads
made daily. No packaged mixes here. We make all our own decadent deserts
including our famous strawberry rhubarb and "heart attack" pies,
chocolate cream cheese brownies, carrot cake, ginger bread with lemon curd
sauce and more.

You’ll dine in a museum like atmosphere. We
carry Alaskan beer and fine wines. The Bear’s Nest Café is Gustavus’s
oldest and finest restaurant. We look forward to making your vacation one to
remember.
"Good food is one of
the greatest pleasures of life" -Tulip Morrow

forest you might find an inviting round house. You decide it's time for a nap
so you let yourself in. The house is fully furnished, including a full kitchen,

bed if needed for an additional person. Something smells delicious... look...
there's a scrumptious basket of food for you to prepare your own breakfast:
