Great Boats!

Ripple Cove Charters has two of the largest boats in the Gustavus charter fleet.

The Newt-tralizer

The first is the "Newt-tralizer". The “Newt”, as we call her, is a custom-built 2003 fiberglass 30' x 12' Newton boat.

It was designed and custom-built in Louisiana by Don Newton, owner of Newton boats, after his trip to Gustavus. Newton Boats is an internationally acclaimed fishing and diving resort boat builder.

The “Newt” is powered by twin 225 Yamaha outboards and has a deep keel to smooth the ride and sharpen the turning.

She has a very large fishing area which can accommodate up to six anglers. She has full hydraulics for automatic anchor and crab trap pulling. She also is equipped with deep-drop electric reels.

The “Newt” has a large heated cabin, is loaded with Furuno electronics, USCG safety gear, a satellite radio, and a flushing head.

Unlike any other charter vessel in the fleet, she has an underwater camera , hydrophone (for listening to whales), and DVD recording equipment.

The River Moon

Our second boat, the "River Moon" is a 2007 custom-built 34' x 14' aluminum Armstrong catamaran. The “River Moon” is the queen of the fleet.

You can expect a smooth ride given her wide beam and cat hull. She has two spacious fishing areas, one in the front and one in the back.

The fishing areas provide plenty of room for up to six anglers.

She has commercial-grade Furuno electronics and USCG safety gear. She also has an extremely spacious heated cabin which includes a stand-up flushing head.

The “River Moon” is powered by twin 250 Yamaha engines.

She can carry up to six kayaks and has an electric ramp in the front for beach drop-offs or pick-ups.

You’ll love her stereo system with Bose speakers, CD, and satellite radio.
